Men….be prepared to look your best for your headshot.
Thoughtful preparation for your professional headshot can make the difference in how satisfied
you are with your headshot. When you look good you feel good and more confident and it will
show in your professional portrait.
San Diego head shot photography advises you to start with a good night’s sleep. Not just the
night before, but even the night before that would eliminate bags under your eyes. You will look
less tired, more refreshed and more alert. There is always retouching, but it’s best to start with a
great image. Premier Photography specializes in headshots so our retouchers are aware that you
want your headshot be look natural.
The morning of your professional headshot wash your face with your normal cleanser to remove
dirt and oil. Please don’t wear sunscreen or moisturizer on your face the day of the session. A
business portrait requires a nice matted look with no shine. If your appointment is later in the
day and you must wear moisturizer or sunscreen, please bring your cleanser to Premier
Photography to wash your face when you arrive.
If you have blemishes or sun damage, don’t worry our expert headshot retouchers can eliminate
those with retouching. If you have a makeup artist, she can also cover those easily.
For your executive portraits, the saying “the difference between a good haircut and bad one is
about two weeks” really holds true here. It’s best not to get a haircut or trim a day or two before
your session. If you do get one the same day, be sure and have your stylist or barber remove any
hairs on your face, neck and suit. Don’t forget those stubborn nose, ear and eyebrow hairs. If
you have a beard, trim it. If you get a 5:00 shadow why, not make a morning appointment for
your San Diego headshot? https://www.getfreejobsalert.com/
Having a suit and shirt that fits you properly is the most important part of selecting the right
wardrobe for your session. Having clothing that is too big or too small can look sloppy or
unprofessional. Since you probably won’t be getting another professional photograph for the
next three years, why not invest in clothing that flatters you and is up to date?
